Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that he will be making signings during the summer transfer window.
Zidane, enjoyed a winning return to the club he left nine months ago, as Los Blancos defeated Celta Vigo 2-0, and the Frenchman stated in his post-match press conference that he intends to make changes at the end of the season.
“There will be changes in the summer, but at the moment I cannot say more than that.
“I have a squad of 23-25 players, and I will not be here after each of our remaining games andd stating who will stay and who will leave. In the summer we will look at the situation and make decisions.”
Zidane opted to recall Keylor Navas, Marcelo and Isco for the clash with Fran Escriba’s side, all key players during his first spell in charge but that had seen their game time reduced this season.
Former Malaga player Isco and Brazilian international Marcelo have both been linked with a summer exit, however the return of Zidane could see the pair remain in the Spanish capital.
Gareth Bale is another squad member rumoured to be potentially departing in the summer, but despite his relationship with Zidane not always being smooth, the former Juventus legend was full of praise for the Welshman in his first game back.
Bale will remain the subject of transfer speculation, with Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez aiming to generate funds in order to pursue primary target Eden Hazard during the close season.
