The international break has came at the perfect time for Gareth Bale and Real Madrid. The world’s most expensive player will not play against Levante at the weekend, and will undergo an intensive 15 day period to get his fitness levels up according to Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti:
“It was not possible for him to play; he has muscle fatigue. He has had an MRI, and it did not show anything special” said Ancelotti.
“We are waiting for him to recover. He wasn’t 100%, and after two weeks he will be in perfect shape. He’s unhappy, which is normal because he wants to play; he is very eager, and that’s not a problem. Now we have time to get him into good shape and avoid injuries.”
If everything goes according to plan, Bale is expected to return for Madrid’s game against Málaga in October.
