Marca is reporting that Real Madrid and Porto have reached an agreement over the summer transfer of Danilo, and that the 23-year-old right back will cost €20 million.
Porto had been hoping to get closer to €40 million for the Brazilian, but despite interest from other clubs, including Manchester United, Danilo insisted that he would only sign for Real Madrid. Considering that his contract is up next year and the player, and that he could walk for free in 20i6, left Porto little from to negotiate.
The Brazilian fits the bill for the type of player that Real Madrid have been targeting in recent years. He is under 25 and already a full international.
The big question now is can Danilo unseat Madrid’s current first-choice right-back Dani Carvajal, or is he a signing for the future?
What do you think of the signing? Is it a good one by Real Madrid? Well Danilo replace Dani Carvajal in the Madrid line-up?
