Real Madrid are continuing to push hard to sign Paul Pogba this summer and have reportedly informed Manchester United they are willing to offer €90 million and Gareth Bale or Isco in a player-plus-cash deal for the midfielder.
Zinedine Zidane is desperate to bring the Frenchman to the Bernabeu and has made him his No 1 target with Pogba equally keen to move to the Spanish capital.
United remain reluctant to sell their prized asset and told Madrid earlier this summer it would take a bid in excess of £150m to bring them to the negotiating table.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Madrid have proposed a swap deal for Pogba with unwanted stars Bale or Isco going in the opposite direction.
They claim the deal will also include an up front fee of £72m – almost half of United’s valuation of the player.
United have previously been linked with moves for both players but have recently distanced themselves from such rumours.
It remains to be seen whether or not they will be tempted by this latest offer.
Juventus are also interested in signing Pogba this summer and may deploy similar tactics with the Serie A champions reportedly set to offer Paulo Dybala, Alex Sandro and Blaise Matuidi plus a figure in the same ball park as Madrid.
Pogba, who only returned to Old Trafford three years ago in a £89m deal from Juventus, is currently on a break in New York with United preparing for a pre-season tour in Australia.
The player’s agent, Mino Raiola, spoke earlier this week about trying to get Pogba out of United.
Madrid is believed to be his preferred destination over a return to Turin.
