Pedro Agrees To Barca Contract Extension

pedro1Good news for Barcelona fans ahead of this weekend’s champions league final meeting with Juventus as Pedro has agreed a three-year contract extension with Spanish champions.

The Spain international’s new deal ties him to the Catalan heavyweights until June 30, 2019 and his buy-out clause of €150m will remain the same.

Barcelona say the 27-year-old will sign his new contract in the coming days.

A Barcelona statement read:

“FC Barcelona announces that an agreement has been reached with Pedro Rodriguez to renew his contract until June 30, 2019.”

A youth product of Barça, Pedro broke into the first team in 2008 under then coach Pep Guardiola and was a member of the squad that famously won all six trophies available to the club in 2009.

The Tenerife-born forward has scored 11 goals in 48 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions this season.

Barcelona have won La Liga and the Copa del Rey, and have the chance to clinch the treble this weekend when they face Juventus in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday in Berlin.
