Real Sociedad announced on Thursday that they had reached an agreement with Queen’s Park Rangers to bring Spanish footballer Esteban Granero on loan to the Anoeta for one season. Real Sociedad will have the option to purchase the player next summer.
Granero passed a medical this morning in London, before the move was made official. The Madrid born player thus leaves QPR, having been relegated with the club from the Premiership last season.
Granero will arrive in Spain on Friday morning and will be presented at the Anoeta before heading to training with his team-mates.
Granero came up through the ranks at Real Madrid but it was at Getafe that he really came into his own, before he rejoined his boyhood club in 2009 under Manuel Pellegrini. The player however never won over José Mourinho and left for QPR in 2012.
