Since the arrival of Luis Suarez Barcelona’s average attendance for league games at Camp Nou is up op 9.4%, reversing what had been a downward trend.
This season as average of 78,736 fans have came to watch MSN and the rest of the Luis Enrique’s side, the most since the 2010/11 season when an average of 79,191 fans flock to watch Barca conquer all before them at home and in Europe.
Barcelona’s biggest matches of the season has seen the 90,000 attendance barrier broken. The clashes against fellow title rivals Atletico and Real Madrid saw an attendance of 94,99 and 99,264 respectively, while Sunday’s 5-0 thumping of local rivals Espanyol in the Catalan derby drew in 91,610.
Entertaining football is synonymous with Barcelona, this season has been no different as Luis Enrique’s side were beaten at home just twice, managed to score 67 goals in the process and conceded just 14.
The aforementioned attacking trident were all on the scoresheet against Espanyol to leave the La Liga leaders one victory away from retaining the league title.
