Los Colchoneros are once again out to disrupt Barcelona and Real Madrid’s duopoly of Spanish football. In 13 years of La Liga action, they have been the only side to buck that particular trend back in 2014, having provided Barcelona with their closest challenge last term before settling for second place.
Bolstered by the continued presence of Antoine Griezmann and a fully fit Diego Costa following his return last January, there is reason for optimism at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Atletico travel to the Santiago Bernabeu for the first Madrid derby of the season on 30 September before welcoming their neighbours across town on 10 February.
They host Barcelona on 25 November before their trip to the Nou Camp on 7 April.

How To Get To The Wanda Metropolitano
Being far away from the city center (around 10 km or 6.2 mi from the Puerta del Sol), it is not advisable to go there by foot.
Actually, the best way to get there is to catch the subway (line 7 stopping at Estadio Metropolitano or Las Musas stations) and walk from there.
You can also catch a bus (lines 38, 48, 140, 153, E2, N5 and N6).
Finally, you can catch a taxi. But before doing so, make sure you check the itinerary from your accommodation to the Wanda Metropolitano stadium and you have printed some basic directions. Doing so you can avoid potential scams from the driver, the main one being a ride following a longer route.
However, plan your transport ahead of time. Atlético matches are extremely popular and it can be very difficult to reach the stadium as the match time approaches. It’s better waiting a bit longer at your seat for the match to begin than missing part of the action!
