Despite bringing in a reported €70m from the sales of Paco Alcacer and Shkodran Mustafi towards the end of the summer transfer window, Valencia have still not met all their Financial Fair Play requirements according to Cesare Prandelli.
Valencia have been heavily linked with the signing of a No 9 in recent weeks, but according to Prandelli, they must sell before they can buy.
“I was with [Valencia President] Peter Lim and he told me we’d consider options in the market while respecting Financial Fair Play,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“I’ll stick to what I said with Peter Lim. Besdies that meeting, I have no other confirmations to make.
“Vinicius recalled in January? He’s under contract with us, his situation will be assessed in the next few days.
“Copa win a turning point? All games serve to confirm ideas and change situations. We read that game very well, with intensity, so the team are growing from an intensity point of view.
“The 3-5-2? We’ve crunched a lot of data, at first we saw that this was a team with little intensity, with good ball possession, but they’d win the ball back very far away from their opponents’ goal.
“We’ve tried to change this. Now we have less possession, but we’re winning the ball nearer to our opponents’ box. The data is fair but we must keep improving.”
