Is Kaka Finally Ready To Leave Real Madrid?

Even Kaka will admit that his three seasons at Real Madrid have been a disappointment since his £54million transfer from AC Milan. Kaka’s time in Madrid has been blighted by injuries and he rarely has shown the form that made him the best player in the world while at Milan.

The combination of injuries and lack of form has meant that Kaka has often found himself on the bench as Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has preferred Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria and Christiano Ronaldo to Kaka in the advanced midfield roles.

For the last two years Kaka has batted away rumors that he wanted to leave Madrid, but that tune is changing at least according to Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes, president of Kaka’s former club Sao Paulo.

Lopes, who says he has spoken to Kaka who is currently in Brazil on vacation, says:

“He has decided to leave Real Madrid.

“Kaka believes that England or Spain would be two interesting destinations for him.

“Sao Paulo cannot deal with his astronomical contract. It is out of the reality of Brazilian football, even for the mighty Corinthians.”

I don’t put much faith into Kaka going to another Spanish club as there is such a difference in quality between Real Madrid and Barcelona and the rest of La Liga, that I cannot see him making that move.

That leaves England and the Premier League, a place where Kaka has been linked with moving too in the past. The question there is going to be money. How much does Madrid want for Kaka?  The transfer fee might be lower than people expect, with Real Madrid reportedly ready to entertain offers as low as €25 million for Kaka as they look to clear his €15 million-a-year wages off their books.

Do you think that Real Madrid should sell Kaka this summer and will they sell him?
