Chelsea Put £200m Price Tag On Eden Hazard

eden-hazard2Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has told Real Madrid that if they want Blues star Eden Hazard, he will cost them a world record £200 millon.

Hazard is set to be named PFA Player of the Year on Sunday night, and Madrid have already started their patented tapping up process through the media,. Last week Zinedine Zidane has talking about the best players in the world and he brought up the Chelsea star:

“I enjoy everything he does on the pitch. I like the way he carries himself, that decisive streak in him and the fact that he’s improving every year. He can still get better too, and I think he’s a big reason why Chelsea are on top of the table.”

Jose Mourinho knows a lot about how Real Madrid tap up players from his time at the Bernabéu, and he has moved quickly to tell the European Champions that they will need to bring their checkbook if they want to sign the Chelsea star.

“If Real Madrid want him, I think I would be the first one to know, but if they do it would be £100m for each leg,” Mourinho said, as he put an extravagant price on the Hazard’s head.

“I don’t believe they are trying to sign him because they didn’t tell me. My relationship with their President and with the CEO doesn’t give space for something to happen behind my back. I trust them completely. If they want him they get on the telephone and they call me to tell me they want him.”

“He wants to be a special player and a normal person,” Mourinho continued. “In football it’s a lot the culture now of being a special player and a special person. This is not him.

“He’s a fantastic boy, a golden boy. The way he behaves, the way he wants to be, the way he respects people, even the way he respects opponents. He doesn’t cheat. He doesn’t dive. Nothing. So I think, even for opponents, I think he’s a fantastic kid.”

While the Premier League might be the richest league in the world, it is interesting that Real Madrid are being linked with two of the Premier League’s player of the year candidates; Hazard and David De Gea and I expect at least one of them to be wearing the white of Real Madrid next season.
